 The word Laughenis is composed of the word "laugh" and "lafenis" - a unique Afrikaans word meaning place or object of great refreshment.  Laughenis is situated a 30 minute drive from Clanwilliam on the R364. A Road not to be - less travelled, with untamed beauty and breathtaking views!

Laughenis is set amidst lush fynbos vegetation, and offers a wonderful mix of adventurous, friendly and welcoming accomodation. Allow yourself to overwhelmed by picturesque sunsets, rugged fields of joy, cozy bush fires, and endless smiles!

DIRECTIONS TO VENUE:

From Cape Town:  Drive on the N7 to Malmesbury, buy some Weetbix! Follow the N7 from Malmesbury to Piketberg, get some Spur! Carry on straight.  Over the Piekenierskloof Pass, to Citrusdal, stop for an orange! Clanwilliam is a 30minute drive from Citrusdal. Take the Clanwilliam town off turn, and make your last cell phone call!Follow the R364 (to Calvinia) for +-28km, till you see the big LAUGHENIS sign on your left. Don't worry about getting lost - everybody knows where LAUGHENIS is!!
