The Heritage trail - a famous donkey cart/walk traill to the beautiful town Heuningvlei nestled in the mountains.
Clanwilliam is +-230km from Cape Town. It is nestled between mountains, vineyards, rugged fields and a famous dam. This small town has alot to offer, such as: Rock art, historical buildings, scenic 4x4 drives, and water sports on the dam, Fynbos, wild flowers and good food!
A 40 minute drive from Clanwilliam will take you to Lamberts Bay. A fisherman\\\\\\\'s town with the best sea food in the whole of South Africa. Bird Island will fascinate even the smallest bird watcher, while the Muisboskerm Open Air Restaurant will tingle the taste of seafood lovers, wanting more.
Laughenis Guest Farm, at the foot of the Cedarberg is a great place to start your journey from. The scenic R364 takes you to the Biedouw Valley, famous for the flowers in Spring. Not far from the Biedouw Valley, you can go for a walk about in the missionary town called Wupperthal, or buy traditional veldskoene (leather shoes) to take home as a souvenir.
